09:00 - 10:00 Near Patient Testing (TEG) and interpretation of haematological data - Dr James Hillier

10:00 -11:00 Blood Conservation Techniques and cell salvage (pre-donation, Tranexamic acid, haemodilution, tourniquet, cell salvage, surgical technique) - Dr Ingrid Wilkins?

11:00 -12:00 Management of coagulopathy (implications and prevention, including hypothermia and acidosis in severe trauma, guidelines for the use of thrombolysis and guidelines for anticoagulant and anti-platelet drugs and regional anaesthesia) - Dr Jeremy Brammer

Lunch 12:00 -13:00, Anaesthetic Department

13:00 -14:00 Coagulation (physiology update) and anticoagulant and thrombolytic prophylaxis (to include new anticoagulant drugs, anti-platelet drugs, guidelines on anticoagulation and surgery and cardiac stents) - Dr Claire Jewkes

14:00 -15:00 Battlefield Resuscitation and major blood Loss in the military setting (to include rapid infusion devices and current evidence on 1:1:1 replacement) - Dr Curtis Whittle or Dr Kristina Birch
