New 2 ICU Course

This course is relevant for all ACCS trainees beginning an ICU post in either August, 2014 or January, 2015. If this applies to you then secure a place by email: bookings@bmsc.co.uk  or call the SimCentre on +44 (0)117 3420108

This is a one-day course for junior doctors due to start work on ICU which includes:

  • How to cope with likely or life threatening scenarios until senior help arrives e.g. tracheostomy emergencies
  • The basics of how to use a ventilator
  • Central line insertion using ultrasound
  • The basics of inotropes and vasopressors
  • Likely scenario simulation

Emphasis on safety.
Material has allowed junior doctors to save lives on ICUs in the region.
Evidenced based approach to content
Pre-course online material means no lectures- hands on approach to experience and learning directed at the level of the junior doctor
Excellent feedback from previous delegates

Cost: £130 including ongoing access to online material and lunch but free for Bristol School ACCS trainees.  This course if fully funded by the ACCS School so ACCS trainees are not liable for any fees.
