Muscle Physiology and Pharmacology of Neuromuscular Blockers
TIMETABLE:
0830 – 0900 Registration
Tea/Coffee and Pastries will be provided
0900 – 0910 Welcome and Introduction to the Day
0910 – 1000 The Neuromuscular junction
1000 – 1045 Neuromuscular Blockers and their reversal
1045 – 1100 Coffee
1100 – 1145 Monitoring Neuromuscular Blockade
1145 – 1230 Muscle Physiology: excitation/contraction coupling.
1230 – 1330 LUNCH (kindly provided by Cheryl Brown and Telefex)
1330 – 1415 Malignant Hyperthermia
1415 – 1530 OSCE/VIVA practice (optional, dependant on numbers)
Teaching will be held in the Anaesthetic Department Trainees Seminar Room on the 1st Floor of the Main building, in Theatres. Please ring the bell at reception and you will be shown in.
