Notes on Dual Anaesthesia-ICM ARCP requirements 2016
(Advanced ICM/joint CCT trainees use ST5-7 Anaesthesia page)

  • Dual Anaesthesia-ICM ARCPs are held simultaneously with a single panel
  • Information from both e-portfolios will be available to the whole panel
  • These notes are designed to minimise duplication for trainees
  • Use these notes in combination with separate Anaesthesia & ICM ARCP requirements
  • ICM evidence and progression will be assessed pro rata for time spent in ICM modules within the year

Educational Supervisor’s Structured Report

Complete Anaesthesia e-portfolio ESSR if any of this year is counting towards Anaesthesia CCT
Complete ICM e-portfolio ESSR if any completed modules are counting towards ICM CCT

Trainees will therefore need to complete ESSR on either one e-portfolio or both

Anaesthesia Unit of Training sign offs

Completed Anaesthesia Units of Training should be signed off on the Anaesthesia e-portfolio, but evidence (eg WPBAs) can come from either portfolio

Workplace based assessments

If you want WPBAs to count for ICM, use the ICM e-portfolio.

Otherwise use the Anaesthesia e-portfolio.
