Anaesthesia for Major General Surgery (6-12 months)
The SIA in Major general at UHBW offers exposure to a range of both elective and emergency general surgery. Trainees will experience major colorectal, oesophagogastric and hepatobiliary surgery and will work across both BRI and Weston sites to provide independent care. As part of the management of the oesophageal cases there will be exposure to one lung ventilation and there will also be access to complex endoscopy work.
