Anaesthesia for Patients with Complex Airway(6-12 months)
This is a 6–12-month SIA based at the tertiary centre for complex head and neck cases. There will be exposure to major max-fax lists and to both complex and high turnover ENT lists. There will be plenty of opportunities to perform awake fibreoptic intubations, jet ventilation and management of robotic head and neck cases. There will be an expectation to get involved with research and quality improvement during the SIA. By the end of the SIA residents should be able to manage most of the case mix independently.
